Wow, so much has gone on since I last posted. Baby number six is slated to make an appearance July 10th, 2007. Our new house is finished and almost ready to move into. The major holdup right now is moving the stuff from the "old" house. Our school year is winding down and we're looking forward to living in the new house, welcoming new addition, and enjoying the summer.
It is amazing how busy we are staying. Between trying to clean two houses (the old one and the new one), and the church, and keeping on top of homeschooling, we just haven't had time for anything lately. The kids haven't been fishing in over a year and a half. We've missed so many good field trips because of work on the house, or schooling that needed to be done.
There's a great field trip coming up this weekend called ArtandSoulofSouthEnd (http://www.artandsoulofsouthend.com). We went about 5 years ago and the kids had a blast! They have all kinds of different art projects set up that the children can participate in. Music and dance from other countries/cultures. It was such a great event. All FREE! I'm hoping maybe we can take some time off and go to this event.
We are still using the Charlotte Mason approach to homeschooling and loving it. We are more relaxed though it seems like we're learning so much more. I use Ambleside Online http://www.amblesideonline.com and follow their schedules and things have fallen into place this year. It takes some getting used to, but we seem to have found our little niche.
Well, kiddos need feeding so will close this for now. Hopefully I can post more here as I am tiring of Homeschool Bloggers troubles with their blogsite.
Til Next Time!
